In 2006 Amber Schoepp’s Flower Bar was one of the first tenants at Irwin Street Market, the Old Fourth Ward complex that’s home to Jake’s Ice Cream. After closing shop in 2009 in the midst of the recession, she returned this summer to create a floral workshop with a potting shed feel in the back of the building. Playing off the name, Schoepp works behind a secondhand wooden bar; her “cocktail bouquets” are assembled in old liquor bottles and glassware. A full-service florist, she creates arrangements for weddings, events, and delivery, and leads monthly DIY workshops ($35 to $75)—including holiday sessions on wreaths and centerpieces. 660 Irwin Street
