Thanks to its eye-catching wallcovering, this workspace in Patrick and Meghan Sharp’s Serenbe house is guaranteed to spark video-conference envy.

Small room, big impact
The dreamy, gray-toned wallcovering from Schumacher’s Iksel collection is the star. “It’s a small room, so we knew we needed a bold statement to bring it to life,” says Patrick. “These scenic wallpapers transform a room, even if there’s not a lot of space for furnishings.”

Round and round
A spherical light fixture by iconic designer George Nelson, from Design Within Reach, adds a modern contrast to the traditional mural.

Catnap component
The Crate & Barrel daybed is charming with its bolster pillows and simple shape.

Table tricks
A brass-and-marble table by designer Tom Dixon can function as a small desk, bedside table, or place for a snack.

Have a seat
A Knoll tulip chair offers high style in a small size.

Designer tip: With the wall’s wow factor, other elements should be understated, says Patrick. A jute rug from Patterson Flynn Martin and custom linen shades are quiet companions to the mural and brass table.
