Though the governor and state lawmakers have reduced the power of the elected official who oversees Georgia’s K-12 public education system, the superintendent role is still an important position. Do Georgia schools test too much or too little? Do schools get enough funding to provide the education children need? Is the curriculum sufficient for a changing world?
