Smiling is an action we do naturally throughout our whole life—from birth to the present. It allows us to express ourselves. It brings joy to those around us. However, as life progresses, our smiles can change. Whether it’s due to simple aging or more unfortunate events such as an injury, changes in our facial structure and dentition can affect our desire and willingness to smile. When we are afraid to smile, we can lose our confidence and self-esteem.
As a prosthodontist, Dr. Emily Y. Chen specializes in restoring smiles. She has undergone an additional three years of postgraduate training in order to care for her patients at the highest level possible. She was an assistant professor at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University prior to opening her own practice. Whether one is looking for a dentist to help them with a complex dental situation or simply routine dental care, the philosophy is the same. She creates not only a beautiful smile but also a healthy one.
