Best Friends Animal Society is the only national animal welfare organization focused on ending the killing of dogs and cats in America’s shelters by 2025.
Best Friends in Atlanta works collaboratively with area shelters, animal welfare organizations, and individuals to save the lives of pets in shelters throughout the region. The Best Friends Pet Adoption Center is a lifesaving hub for animals and a base for local programming and coalition building to help the metro Atlanta area in its final push to end the killing of dogs and cats in shelters, while strengthening the movement in the Southeast.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Every day, more than 4,100 dogs and cats are killed in America’s shelters, just because they don’t have safe places to call home. But every day, there’s something each of us can do to help save those lives:
Volunteer. Sometimes the best gift you can give to save lives is your time
Foster and give an animal the love and attention it desperately needs, greatly increasing its chances of being adopted
Donate to help save more lives
Adopt your new best friend from our Pet Adoption Center
