Mercy Housing Southeast

MISSION
Mercy Housing Southeast’s mission is to create stable, vibrant, and healthy communities by providing program-enriched housing for those who lack the economic resources to access quality, safe housing opportunities.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Mercy Housing Southeast (MHSE) has developed over 3,500 energy-efficient, affordable homes providing a safe place to live for more than 9,000 low-income families, seniors, and people with special needs since 1996. Our work is based on the belief that a) each person is an inherently valuable member of the community and that each person should have a safe, affordable place to live; b) the gap between the supply and demand of affordable housing continues to grow; and c) the gap between the richest and poorest in our communities continues to widen and heightens the need for wraparound services and supports.

To help bridge this gap, MHSE provides a tailored mix of on-site supportive programs with a goal to reduce barriers, support residents in maintaining their housing, and increase economic mobility.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
You can help change a life. We have many meaningful volunteer opportunities:

  • PROPERTY PROJECTS: Community gardening, building playgrounds, and other beautification projects.
  • SHARE YOUR SKILLS: Tutor a child, offer homework help, provide job skills and computer training, and more.
  • EVENTS: Host a holiday gathering; help serve community meals; help out with our Senior Prom; lead a food drive, school supplies drive, winter coat drive, or holiday gifts drive.

There are countless ways to get involved. To find out how, contact info@mercyhousing.org.
