The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Command

Our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination. With a 127-year legacy of doing the most good, the Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta is committed to meeting the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of our community. We offer services to the homeless, support youth enrichment, and fight human trafficking.

Each year, we provide 144,000 nights of shelter, reach more than 3,000 youth, and help 30 women gain independence from commercial sexual exploitation.

Attend an upcoming fundraising or volunteer event. Our “Doing the Most Good” luncheon, held on November 6, is our annual fundraiser honoring key corporate and faith community partners. On November 17, we host the Red Kettle Kickoff—the official start to the Christmas season at Six Flags Over Georgia. Donate canned food for the Salvation Army/11Alive 36th annual Can-A-Thon in partnership with 11Alive and Publix. And ongoing volunteer opportunities are also available, including Ring for a Change, where groups can register to ring bells this Christmas at one of 400 metro Atlanta locations.
