MISSION
Visiting Nurse Health System | Hospice Atlanta offers a full continuum of home healthcare, aging services, and hospice care to adult and pediatric patients. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Joint Commission–accredited organization serving more than 7,000 patients and their families each day. Our family of services includes home healthcare, Hospice Atlanta, community care, innovative aging, palliative care, and private homecare.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Each year, we provide $4 million in charity care to the greater Atlanta community. However, the rising cost of medical care and reduced funding available from private and government agencies complicates our ability to provide this care. Taking finances out of the equation for our patients means that they can concentrate on recovering from an illness or progress to the highest level of independent living as possible. For every one percent of patients Visiting Nurse helps to avoid hospital readmission, the community realizes a cost reduction.

Our ability to provide the care our patients require is contingent upon the thoughtful donations of individuals, area foundations, and other partner organizations. We value your volunteer time and rely on your donations. Some volunteer options include visiting hospice patients and their families, helping with our annual bereavement camps, taking care of a patient’s pet, and championing our cause at corporate events.
