Food Well Alliance
Food Well Alliance is a collaborative network of local leaders working together to build and sustain thriving community gardens and farms across metro Atlanta. We equip growers, local governments, and residents with the resources they need to build healthier communities and create the cities we all want to live in.
With the generous support of the James M. Cox Foundation, Food Well Alliance has re-granted $3.5 million dollars directly into more than 150 farms, gardens, and organizations working on increasing local food access. Thriving community gardens and farms strengthen the heart of cities. We have seen neighborhoods become safer, ecologies improve, and people transform their health by reconnecting to where their food comes from.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
As the metro region continues to grow, our cities are rapidly becoming more developed and dense. Without viable gardens and farms in our cities, we lose our connection to where our food comes from. Food Well Alliance consists of some of the most innovative growers in the country who are protecting these community spaces. Join them. Join us. Join the movement:
- Volunteer at a community garden in our network.
- Take one of our gardening or composting workshops.
- Find your local farmers market.
- Attend one of our community farm events.
