Ignatius House Jesuit Retreat Center

MISSION
Ignatius House provides a place of peace and quiet on 20 wooded acres in North Atlanta where a 500-year-old method for prayer and clarity is embraced. We show you how Ignatian spirituality (developed by the Spaniard St. Ignatius of Loyola) helps us become not only our best selves, but also our truest selves. It is a new path to encountering God.

Weekend retreats at Ignatius House give focus to busy parents, when changing or building careers, when grieving and recovering, and when we simply want to grow closer to our creator. As the Atlanta affiliate of the international Ignatian Spirituality Project, we also offer 20 pro bono retreats throughout the year for those transitioning from homelessness and addiction recovery into hopeful new futures.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Donor support underwrites activities for those transitioning from homelessness and addiction recovery, underprivileged youth and young adults, and others in hardship who seek spiritual direction. Volunteers welcome guests on retreat, serve as discussion guides during select activities, help care for 1.5 miles of wooded trail along the Chattahoochee River, and assist in administrative tasks. Short-term and ongoing roles are available. Contact volunteer@ignatiushouse.org.
