LifeLine Animal Project

MISSION
LifeLine Animal Project is working to end the euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals in Atlanta’s county shelters. We care for more animals than any other Atlanta organization, with over 39,000 annually in our shelters, clinics, and communities.

Despite taking in 40 to 60 animals daily, LifeLine remains close to no-kill levels at the DeKalb and Fulton County Animal Services shelters that we’ve managed since 2013. This is a first among open-intake shelters in Atlanta.

Our holistic approach addresses the root causes of animal homelessness. The LifeLine Spay & Neuter Clinics have provided over 134,550 pets with free or low-cost spay/neuters.

Our outreach programs help keep people and their pets together. Our quarterly events help provide thousands of pets with free vaccines, microchips, and spay/neuters, and our door-to-door team provides free veterinary care, spay/neuters, transportation, and supplies to over 3,600 pets annually.

LifeLine recently embarked on a new chapter of lifesaving, with the opening of the LifeLine Community Animal Center. This new facility features a fun adoption center and a full-service, low-cost veterinary clinic that will help make pet care accessible to all.
