Details: From giant bubbles to a balloon drop at the strike of noon, this early-hours event gives the kids a chance to celebrate without staying up until midnight.

New Year’s Eve Bash: Kids/Family Party

Where: The Battery Atlanta

Details: Before the adult party gets going at 9 p.m., the Battery is opening up early for an evening of family fun that includes ice skating, free giveaways, and full access to the games at Hope and Will’s Sandlot.

And finally, the 28th annual Peach Drop will take place this year in Woodruff Park instead of Underground Atlanta. Specific details still haven’t been released, but expect musical performances and, of course, the lowering of the 800-pound peach at midnight.
