This weekend, presuming you aren’t plopped in front of a screen for marathon World Cup viewing, you can stroll along rows of art, get colorful with Katy Perry, brush up on your Civil War history, or party Canadian-style.

Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival
The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces presents a showcase of up to 150 artists and artisans at Historic Fourth Ward Park—in the shadow of Ponce City Market and just off the BeltLine’s Eastside Trail. Saturday and Sunday. oldfourthwardparkartsfestival.com

Harlem Fine Arts Show
The national touring exhibit, showcasing more than 40 African-American artists, drops by 200 Peachtree for the weekend. Opening reception: Thursday, 6 p.m.; Exhibit: Friday through Sunday. hfas.org

Katy Perry
Raised by Pentecostal pastors, Ms. Perry has cultivated a fervent following of her own. The singer described in a GQ cover story as “the most cartoonishly ubiquitous pop star on Earth” brings her Prismatic world tour to Philips. Saturday, 7:30 p.m. philipsarena.com

Canada Fest
Canada Day isn’t actually until Tuesday, but the Atlantic Station Meehan’s is rolling out the red maple leaf carpet early with street hockey, live music, and a special menu. (Poutine!) Saturday, 2 p.m. meehansatlanticstation.com

Battle on the Mountain
The 150th anniversary of the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain will be commemorated with activities that range from the somber (reading the names of the dead) to the more hands-on (a primer in Civil War medicine). Also scheduled: a performance by Bobby Horton, who produced music for thirteen Ken Burns films, including, natch, The Civil War. Our deputy editor Rebecca Burns will deliver the keynote address, “From Civil War to Civil Rights,” on Sunday afternoon and a few preview copies of our July special issue on the civil war in Atlanta will be distributed. Through Sunday. nps.gov/kemo

George Lopez
The acerbic comedian plays the Fox. Friday, 8 p.m. foxtheatre.org

Summer ICE Craft Market
Unfortunately, this is not a market for handcrafted ice sculptures. Fortunately, it is a market for more than 90 indie craft vendors. At Ambient Plus Studio. Saturday and Sunday. ice-atlanta.com

Ike Stubblefield and friends
The B3 organ artist, who has played with Al Green, B.B. King, and Curtis Mayfield, and recorded tracks with Cee Lo, performs as part of Callanwolde’s Jazz on the Lawn series. Friday, 7:30 p.m. callanwolde.org
