MISSION
Furkids is an animal rescue and shelter for homeless animals and the people who love them. Each animal receives the best medical care and emotional nurturing to heal their spirit and restore their health—preparing them for their perfectly matched forever home. Our volunteer programs provide restorative and personal fulfillment for people who are strengthened by the human-animal bond. Last year, Furkids rescued, altered, cared for, and placed 4,965 homeless animals.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
All are welcome at Furkids. We rely on a broad and loving family of adopters, fosters, volunteers, donors, and thrift store patrons to carry out our lifesaving mission. The opportunities to get involved with saving animals in need are unlimited, including animal care in shelters; in-home care via fostering; local and interstate animal transport; youth programs, including FurTales reading to cats; and group opportunities for businesses, youth groups, and schools. If you’re ready to adopt, we encourage you to visit our shelters or adoption centers throughout metro Atlanta to meet our cats and dogs. You can also shop, donate, or volunteer at our four thrift stores in Johns Creek, Peachtree Corners, Lawrenceville, or Marietta. For more information, contact info@furkids.org. Please help us connect people with animals to save lives!
