The Walker School in Marietta is growing thanks to the construction of a state-of-the-art, 30,000-square-foot building that will be dedicated to science and technology. The new facility—expected to be ready for the 2018-2019 school year—will house science labs for the middle school, along with chemistry, physics, robotics, media suites, and classrooms for the upper school.
Once the work is completed, the current science labs and classrooms will be refurbished to create 2D and 3D arts studios, and provide additional space for band, orchestra, dance, and performing arts programs. The school is also expanding its athletic fields and facilities and plans to create a dedicated baseball and softball field exclusively for middle school students. thewalkerschool.org
