The Weber School, the metro area’s only high school designed for students of the Jewish faith, marked the 2017-2018 school year with a record 268 students, and its largest first-year class (71 students) since opening 20 years ago. Those numbers mark a 25 percent growth rate over the last three years—a fact that has enabled the school to increase its course offerings by more than 30 options.
Along with more classmates, Weber students this year will find opportunities to study social entrepreneurship, American Sign language, teaching, marketing, public relations, and Spanish with an overseas immersion class. The advanced placement courses have also expanded with subjects such as micro- and macro-economics. The athletic program has also enjoyed a growth spurt: In the last two years, the sports offerings have grown to include 18 varsity teams. weberschool.org
