Loverly Grey is a Fashion & Lifestyle Blog designed to encourage others to try new things when it comes to getting dressed. Loverly Grey was started in January 2016 after Brittany Sjogren decided she needed to take her passion for fashion to the next level. Brittany’s goal in life has always been to help others. So naturally, her goal with Loverly Grey is to help others dress in a way that makes them feel their best. Loverly Grey is a place where Brittany shares her love of style, announces sales that “you just can’t miss”, and most importantly, encourages others.

South Moon Under was a natural fit for Brittany to find some of the top fall trends for this year, including a must-have wedding guest dress.

I’m always on the hunt for new boutiques and shops and have loved all things South Moon Under as of late. They offer something for everyone at all price points and from established brands as well as emerging designers.

One of the most requested outfits for this season is what to wear to a fall wedding. I always like shopping at unique boutiques for wedding attire because your chances of showing up in the same dress as someone else are significantly lower. South Moon Under has several great wedding guest dress options this season.

One of my favorites from the fall collection is a long, floral dress (pictured) that has a high-low hemline and open back detail. If you have a wedding or event that is cocktail attire or semi-formal, this dress is perfect. It’s great for dancing, and you will love all the movement in the skirt.

If you want to take this dress down a notch and maybe re-wear it for girls night, you could easily add a suede jacket. Although the dress is still long, the suede jacket gives the dress a more casual vibe and allows you to wear it more ways than one.

Fall Trends at South Moon Under

South Moon Under set the mood for what to expect in trends this fall, including:

  • 70s Inspired – From studio 54 to the bohemian traveler, the 70s offer endless inspiration and influence in fashion. The 70s were part rebellion and part strength, marked by strong fashion statements. References to this decade flourish today in suiting, menswear plaid, flare bottoms, turtlenecks, and shearling outerwear. Sexy fitted knits in graphic stripes and geometric prints offer a juxtaposition to the masculine element.
  • Human Nature – Inspired by a revolt against data and screens, this mood is a return to natural instincts and the outdoors. Textiles offer a hand-spun feel with natural materials, tactile surfaces, and textured sweaters. Key colors in this group are sage greens, rust, wine, and grey.
  • Home Comfort – This soft story easily moves us from summer to fall in its cozy fabrics and luxe yarns. You’ll find soft grey, ivory, and blush pinks in textured yarns and slim knit tops paired with soft bottoms.

This outfit screams fall. Adding a suede skirt to your wardrobe is a great investment, and BlankNYC makes the best of them.

More about fall prints from South Moon Under: Popular prints this fall include bold graphic stripes, geometric non-print prints, modern bohemian patchwork and paisleys, dark grounded florals and textures. Ultra-suedes and vegan leather easily transitions a look to fall and is merchandised with drapey rayons, cupros and tweed fabrications.

For this look, the suede skirt pairs perfectly with this floral Free People top. The top is flowy and buttons down the front. To top off the look, you can easily add over-the-knee boots, which are also a closet staple for the fall.

Kimonos are a great addition to any outfit! They work great over pants and tops or with dresses. If you are searching for an easy yet chic look, try adding a floral kimono to a suede dress.

You can complete this look with booties. Perfect for going to a concert or a Saturday night out!

More about fall colors from South Moon Under: Earth tones and a reference to nature continue to influence color trends for fall 2018.  Camel and bronze tones set a luxe mood for the coming months.

I love finding new boutiques like South Moon Under. Think trendy, versatile, and unique—all with an environment that will make you feel your best. I think you will love the new fall collection at South Moon Under. Stop by one of their 28 locations or check out their online boutique to stock up on all your needs for fall.
