I ran a 5K down the runway at Hartsfield-Jackson
On nearly any weekend, somewhere in metro Atlanta, there’s a 5K race. Most of them take place on streets or trails, but this past weekend, the Mayor’s Inaugural 5K on the 5th Runway sent around 2,000 runners, including myself, down an actual runway at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Even if you’ve never completed a triathlon, you’d probably be hard-pressed to describe it as a “kind” sort of race. But then maybe you’ve never heard of Wanderlust 108, a “mindful triathlon” that comes to Piedmont Park on October 4.

Is your husky looking a bit, er, husky? Send Rover right over to the Dog Jog, timed one-mile and 5K races at Dunwoody’s Brook Run Dog Park that are open to all breeds, plus their human companions (who can qualify for the Peachtree Road Race).
