Shaun Doty and Lance Gummere have converted their Alpharetta location of chicken spot Bantam & Biddy into a barbecue restaurant, King Barbecue, which is set to open on Tuesday, June 5.
Shaun Doty is back in the kitchen again, and the only question you might have after dining at the Federal is, “What took so long?” Opening the Federal last November has been his greatest gift yet—to Atlanta and, perhaps, to himself.
The Southern menu includes pimento cheese dip with vegetables, watermelon salad, and chicken salad sandwiches. The Texas cake is always a hit.
Inside a 3,000-square-foot greenhouse near Your DeKalb Farmers Market, Webb, who started Vonnie’s Greens back in 1983, harvests about 1,000 pounds of wheat grass, buckwheat lettuce, and sprouts a week.
Whether you’re hosting an intimate party of four or throwing a big bash for 20, don't feel like you have to lock yourself in the kitchen for Thanksgiving. Better yet, consider outsourcing the food (and the dirty dishes) to these Atlanta restaurants.
Before bacon-maple doughnuts and chocolate-dipped potato chips snagged their fifteen minutes of stardom, fried chicken and waffles paired off as the original sweet-and-salty odd couple.
The sister restaurant of Bantam and Biddy, Shaun Doty and Lance Gummere’s Chick-a-Biddy will open July 1 in Atlantic Station. This fast-casual chicken spot will take over the space once home to the Grape and more recently pop-up restaurants like Hudson North. Executive chef Scott Weaver will cook up wood-grilled piri piri and fried chicken as well as falafel, crab cakes, and salads. For brunch, almond pancakes, breakfast burgers, and of course, chicken and waffles. Read on for Chick-a-Biddy by the numbers. Note: the menu is preliminary and both the items on it and prices are subject to change.
