After hearing him explain his philosophy on customer service to the newly hired staff in Atlanta, I better understood his confidence. Mitchell recounted the story of how his son was denied a chocolate milkshake at a local restaurant because it didn’t offer them on the menu, and the staff refused to attempt to accommodate the request. He had a personal light bulb moment and decided that his restaurants would service any reasonable customer request.

That constant swirl of construction dust at 3102 Piedmont Road has all but obscured the former site of the late, lamented Sambuca Jazz Cafe in recent weeks. As our ATL Food Chatter columnist James Oxendine first reported this week, this fall, the address will pop back onto the dining scene radar with the first Atlanta location of Columbus, Ohio-based restaurateur Cameron Mitchell's Ocean Prime Fish Steaks Cocktails concept.
