Funwoody team brings Southern comfort with their newest restaurant
Funwoody mastermind David Abes, a hospitality veteran whose resume includes stints at Buckhead Life and Here to Serve Restaurants, is opening a Southern dinner spot called {S}table. Scheduled to open the first week in April, it will replace Steak & Grace, which shuttered in January after less than a year in business.
A “groovy” retro sweets shop opens in Dunwoody
Hospitality veteran and founder of Funwoody in Dunwoody Village, David Abes launched his latest venture this week: a retro sweets store called Good Vibes Ice Cream Shop & Soda Pop. Located a few steps from Bar(n), Morty’s Meat & Supply, Yoffi, and Message in a Bottle, it offers ice cream, brownies, sundaes, milkshakes, floats, and house-made sodas in a bright and colorful space.
The Village at Dunwoody aims to bring a central entertainment district to the area
David Abes, who is revamping the 70s-era strip mall, is planning for several restaurants to open around a central courtyard, including a barbecue restaurant, fast-casual Mediterranean, and a rustic wine and whiskey bar.
