On Monday, finally docketed as the day jury selection was to begin, Kramer actually expedited the legal process by pleading guilty to three counts of felony child molestation in Gwinnett County Superior Court. In exchange, the DragonCon co-founder was sentenced to five years house arrest for each count, to be served concurrently.

As his long-postponed trial date on child molestation charges approaches, Ed Kramer and DragonCon—the sci-fi convention he co-founded more than a quarter-century ago—have now severed all ties. As of noon today, according to DragonCon spokesman Greg Euston, an out-of-court settlement between Kramer and DragonCon went into effect in which DragonCon will pay Kramer for the shares he still held in the company—shares that entitled him to dividends and which prompted some longtime attendees to boycott the convention.

Claiming numerous illnesses and infirmities, the DragonCon cofounder and accused child molester has delayed his trial for more than a decade. By 2011, he's enjoying the perks of indefinite bond: meeting with Hollywood producers, touring a Kentucky film set, living in a Brooklyn apartment...

DragonCon co-founder Ed Kramer has been a busy man. A news story that aired a month ago on WAGA-TV showed that Kramer was inundating the Gwinnett Sheriff’s office with complaints, grievances and requests—three a day, on average—as he sits in jail awaiting trial on child molestation charges. Today, an AJC article suggests he’s still at it.

Having been extradited back to Georgia from Connecticut after apparently violating one of the most lenient bond agreements imaginable, DragonCon co-founder Ed Kramer has now summoned the chutzpah to ask to be bonded out of the Gwinnett County jail, where he awaits trial on decade-old child-molestation charges.

In the wake of an Atlanta magazine article last September that detailed the financial interest that DragonCon co-founder and accused child molester Ed Kramer still holds in the Atlanta sci-fi convention, a campaign calling for a boycott of the annual event has been gaining ground.

The stranger arrived at the movie set late in the evening. Crew members preparing for a long night’s shoot were told the short and stocky, heavily bearded man had come to watch over one of the film’s stars, a fourteen-year-old boy whose mother was leaving in a few hours for a flight to California.
