Now that the summer heat is gone for another year, film crews have returned, and in greater numbers. Here's our monthly roundup of where Atlanta's movies and TV shows have been spotted filming and which celebrities you might spot.

If you’re not familiar with Starz's Survivor’s Remorse, it's time to check out this slam dunk of a comedy, set (and filmed!) in Atlanta. The show, created by Mike O’Malley, follows Cam Calloway (Jessie Usher), a star basketball player who’s career has just blown up. Recently, we spent a day on the Buckhead set of the series.
If you haven’t seen the trailer for the CW’s Containment, you might want to check it out. Since the show is not only filmed here but also set in town, there will be a lot of nods to Atlanta that residents will pick up on.

The summer heat isn’t slowing down the Hollywood of the South. Those familiar yellow waypoint signs on the roadside are continuing to direct cast, crew, and us onlookers to bits of movie magic. Lots of productions are shooting both in and around town right now; here’s this month’s detailed look.

April showers brought us May film shoots as well as their resilient yellow cardboard signs. And while those codes continue to amaze, mystify, and confuse would-be film set gawkers here in the Hollywood of the South, we’ll continue to ease troubled minds. Along with yellow pollen piled along Atlanta's sidewalks, spring has ushered in new thickets of yellow production signs along our roads. This busy month has brought us burned out buses, Texas taxicabs, Chicago newspapers, and scenery from the 1930s and 1980s. Productions are shooting in Midtown, downtown, and a lot of OTP locales.

Atlanta seemed star-struck by having Zac Efron and Robert De Niro in town. Personally, I’d like to think the buzz came from the pink Mini Cooper convertible that featured prominently during shooting. As far as productions go, this one wasn’t very secret. Photos inundated social media giving us behind-the-scenes glimpses of the odd couple on set.
Cold, gray, and rainy—you couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to step into the dystopian world of The Hunger Games. Atlanta Movie Tours is preparing to launch its newest offering, the Girl on Fire tour based on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mockingjay Part I, on February 8.
