H&F Burger is expanding to a new, bigger space at SunTrust Park, Restaurant Eugene has a new chef, and Linton Hopkins is back in the kitchen at Holeman and Finch.
The revamped space and accompanying food and beverage offerings are designed to create an approachable, unpretentious vibe that draws customers in weekly, restaurateur/chef Linton Hopkins says.
Gunshow’s Spencer Gomez is now chef de cuisine at Holeman & Finch Public House, offering a new menu and limiting the availability of the acclaimed burger to 24 per meal service.
“I didn’t necessarily want to leave Gunshow. I knew that Holeman had this availability, and it’s just a really good fit. I’ve done a lot of charcuterie work and meat-focused dining,” says Gomez, who prior to Gunshow worked at the Branded Butcher in Athens.

I arrived at Holeman and Finch Public House on a recent Saturday at 7:30 p.m., expecting to wriggle through a surge of bodies to reach the bar. Since it opened in 2008, I’ve introduced the Buckhead trendsetter to dozens of visitors, always prepping them to brace for the crowds, assuring them that the cocktails and the charcuterie and the famous cheeseburger served after 10 p.m. are worth the hassle.
