Yesterday was San Francisco designer Jay Jeffers’s first formal presentation at ADAC, but it was certainly not his first visit to Atlanta. Named multiple times to both Elle Décor’s and House Beautiful’s lists of top talents, Jeffers and his husband Michael Purdy, creative director of their retail store Cavalier, have often sourced products at ADAC and local antique galleries. In fact, they’re big fans of Scott Antique Market.

The monthly Basement Market combines the store’s regular merchandise with one-day-only treasures. For decorators, vintage furniture collectors, or scouts for TV and movie sets, it’s an appointment to keep each month.

Robert Brown transitioned to interior design after more than 20 years in the fashion industry. Named Southeastern Designer of the Year by "Veranda" in 2006, he has won more than 20 American Society of Interior Designers awards, including the President’s award.

Once each year, the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC) hosts Design ADAC—a four-day conference of seminars, product introductions, and presentations by internationally known design experts. For years, this has been the Southeast's top networking event for trade professionals, and now the public is also invited to hear industry leaders for free.

Interior designer Kelly Kole gutted the circa-1997 builder-issue bath in her Kennesaw house to add a little glam to her life. The inspiration: a dramatic blue-and-white Thibaut wallpaper, “Donegal,” that she spotted at the High Point Market a couple of years ago.
