New bill allows breweries to offer take-home “souvenirs”
A modified version of Senate Bill 63 goes into effect this month and allows breweries to offer beer for on-site consumption or in six-pack equivalent take-home “souvenirs.”
That new Georgia beer law covers distilleries, too. So what do distillers think about it?
Under a new Georgia law that goes into effect July 1, craft brewers and distillers will be able to sell directly to consumers, after a fashion. They will be able to package take-home "souvenirs" with tours—the equivalent of a six pack or a 750ml bottle of booze.
