Atlanta’s craft breweries are in the giving mood this holiday season. The beer makers have responded to the cold, dark days with fittingly similar brews, as stouts, porters, and brown ales have officially replaced the summer’s hoppy and citrus-infused flavors.

Then, this past spring semester a capstone team of five mechanical engineering seniors from Tech, calling itself “Monday Night Variety Hour,” found a way to quickly, and cheaply, solve a conundrum for MNB: How to speed up the assembly of variety 12-packs.
There will be much at stake later this year when Monday Night Brewing opens its ambitious second facility along with other tenants in a cavernous warehouse at the corner of Lee and White streets alongside a newly completed stretch of the Atlanta BeltLine.
