We captured last weekend's two-day music event with a Fuji Instax camera, just as concert-goers might have done at Music Midtown's 1994 inaugural festival.

It's been five years since Music Midtown cofounder Peter Conlon, now president of Live Nation Atlanta, revived the festival. Below, a few of the highs and lows of its more than 20-year history.

This past weekend Music Midtown returned to the Meadow at Piedmont Park for a monstrous two-day, three-stage, 24-act music festival. Debuting in 1994 as Atlanta's original music fest, Music Midtown paved the way for CounterPoint, TomorrowWorld, Imagine, and Shaky Knees, despite a six-year hiatus ending in 2011.

After waiting for dry, sunny days all summer, Atlantans they got the perfect one on the eve of Fall, right in time for Friday kickoff of Music Midtown 2013, the two-day music festival held in Piedmont Park.

Thanks to AT&T, this year's Music Midtown festival goers have a brand new guide to tonight and Saturday's shows in Piedmont Park. Festival organizers are encouraging iPhone and Android users to download the free app before heading out to party this weekend.
