There’s a new diner in town and it’s serving a concise menu of homemade items inspired by the seasons. Called Little Five Points Diner, it's located in the space originally home to Fellini’s, more recently Moonlight Pizza (422 Seminole Avenue). Created by Sean and Amber Germain, the husband-and-wife team behind Sean’s Harvest Market, Little Five Diner serves breakfast and lunch items all day, as well as blue plate specials.

A mother of six and a grandmother, Kathy Carpenter spends a lot of her time in the kitchen, cooking and baking. About seven years ago, she started working at Casseroles, a shop selling take-and-bake meals in Morningside. She’d often make sweet treats for the shop, and when the pandemic hit in 2020, her baking rose in correlation with her spare time.
