The world’s first glow-in-the-dark ramen pop-up is debuting in Atlanta

Atlanta will be the first city in the world to experience a glow-in-the-dark ramen restaurant before it heads out on a global tour. Nakamura.ke, an immersive pop-up dining experience from an international team of artists (including Atlanta’s own Zoo as Zoo and Dashboard), debuts on January 30 and runs on select dates through February 16.

Kiefer Lee and her team embody the MailChimp voice, that relaxed, don’t-worry-you-totally-got-this identity that flashes across the screens of people trying to get their brand’s message out to the world. So a lot of their users are in various stages of stress. It’s good then, that Kiefer Lee is so easy-going and tends to see the upside. This is a woman who’s hard to dislike.

New look, new menu for P’cheen

Sunday at 8 p.m. Inman Park restaurant P’cheen quietly closed its doors and will reopen tomorrow. During this brief closure, Jeff Myers of Top Flr and the Sound Table is working with P’cheen owner and executive chef Alex Friedman to reinvent P’cheen’s menu, focusing on sharable plates inspired by Octopus Bar. Proof and Provision’s Nate Shuman is consulting on a revamped moonshine cocktail list.

Shane Devereux leaves the Lawrence, heads to Greyfield Inn

Earlier this year, we announced that Shane Devereux was leaving his position as executive chef of TOP FLR of Sound Table but remaining partner at the Lawrence. Devereux now says that he's no longer involved in day to day operations at The Lawrence, the much-hyped new Midtown restaurant that opened earlier this year. Starting November 9, Devereux will head to Cumberland Island to do a month-long stint at the Greyfield Inn.

Sound Table grooves with win at Taste of Atlanta’s bartending competition

Apparently, the judges at Taste of Atlanta's 2nd annual Barcraft bartending competition Sunday concur with Atlanta magazine dining critic Bill Addison. In his review of the Old Fourth Ward's Sound Table in our October issue, Addison detailed the cool vibe between the dining and cocktails, noting "the close interplay between food and drink makes for a sexy tango."
