Now that Dragon Con has gone the way of the old Marriott Marquis carpet for another year, here’s a look at some of the absolutely amazing, creative, and hilarious costumes that adorned its attendees.

Atlanta's annual celebration of all things geek turned 30 this year, drawing an estimated 75,000 fans into downtown over Labor Day weekend. As usual, the cosplay was impressive, the crowds were monstrous, and the people-watching was unparalleled as we wandered the host hotels for some 45 hours over the course of four days.

And according to his Twitter bio, he’s also a lover of Christ and aspiring writer. Plus, he can carry a tune quite better than most. I think the only thing this guy doesn’t do is wear jorts. “Yeah, I wouldn’t be caught in those,” he said when we talked about the surprise response to his film.
