TNT renews “Falling Skies” for a second season to air in Summer 2012

This just in: Atlanta-based TNT just announced it has renewed its ambitious sci-fi drama "Falling Skies" for a second 10-episode season to air in the summer of 2012. In a recent interview with Intel, "Falling Skies" actor Noah Wyle indicated he hoped for an early pick up for season two since producing the special effects-laden drama is a lengthy process with a lot of post-shoot CGI work. The show is produced by Dreamworks Television with Steven Spielberg serving as executive producer.

TNT’s “Leverage” slides back into action Sunday with the chill “Long Way Down Job” season four premiere

For an Oscar winner, "Leverage" actor Timothy Hutton is incredibly amenable to freezing his butt off. TNT's favorite dysfunctional family of cons starring Hutton, Gina Bellman, Christian Kane, Beth Riesgraf and Aldis Hodge is back Sunday at 9 p.m. with an epic adventure set atop an Alaskan mountain. Portland's Mount Hood doubled as the 49th state during the three-day shoot.

Spielberg-produced “Falling Skies” alien invasion starts Sunday on TNT

It doesn't take long for "Falling Skies" actor Noah Wyle to get cornered by some scary looking space creatures in Sunday night's premiere of TNT's much anticipated sci-fi drama. But the "ER" vet admits there was a lot of imagination used on the set of the two-hour pilot when it was shot nearly two years ago. In the premiere, all of the aliens are CGI and were edited into the show long after the actors wrapped their scenes.

Zombie stomping grounds, other Atlanta locales abound in TNT’s new buddy comedy-drama “Franklin & Bash”

TNT "Franklin & Bash" actors Breckin Meyer (he's Franklin) and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (he's Bash) look right at home crashed on couches in a corner of the Four Seasons bar in Midtown. “EcoSense For Living” continues Turner family commitment to the environment

Every Wednesday night at 7:30 during April's Earth Month, GPB has aired an episode of "EcoSense For Living," the newest TV venture from producer and host Jennie Garlington. Each week, the fascinating series shows viewers how each of us can impact the environment with the choices we make, whether it's how we choose to clean our windows, what and how we purchase groceries and even where we root for our favorite Atlanta sports team. Tonight's final episode in the series focuses on the power of green buildings, including Georgia's first LEED certified school, Arabia High in Lithonia and even Philips Arena downtown, a massive structure not originally intended as a green building but has achieved LEEDS certification in recent years.
