Ben Horgan and Uri, Ethan, and Talia Wurtzel renovated the Suburban Lanes space into the family-friendly but still cool—and a little bit kitschy—Comet this summer. It boasts 32 lanes, a shuffleboard area, a sprawling bar, and a menu from Savannah Sasser that gives a gastropub feel to straight-from-the-fryer food.

Chase Medlin, formerly head brewer at Twain’s Brewpub & Billiards in Decatur, is opening Locomotion Brewing Company in Chamblee in February 2017. Locomotion will eventually offer tastings, tours, and even an art gallery.
