Time to break out everything green in your wardrobe. Since St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Monday, the Irish festivities will be celebrated in Atlanta all weekend long. Emerald not your color? No worries—this weekend has plenty of non-holiday happenings, too.
March is finally roaring in this weekend, and with it comes not only the promise of spring but celebrity chefs, art exhibits, and offbeat tributes.
It looks like General Beauregard Lee might have bested Punxsutawney Phil after all. With temps this week in the 60s and 70s, Atlanta appears to have been thrust into an early spring after a round of apocalyptic winter storms and contention with a Polar Vortex. But fickle weather can never be trusted for long—get out and enjoy these events before Mother Nature changes her mind—again.
Now that we’re finally starting to thaw out from yesterday’s nasty, slushy mess, you officially have less than 24 hours until Valentine’s Day. Heed the advice of the governor and emergency experts and stay hunkered down today, but you can expect things to thaw out by Friday and for the rest of the weekend.
Football season is finally over, the country is still trudging through six more weeks of winter, and you’ve still got a few days before you panic and realize it’s the night before Valentine’s Day and you still don’t have a reservation.
