Tired of shoehorning your way down the Atlanta BeltLine? Escape the crowds at three more peaceful pathways.
East Palisades Trail
Miles of wooded trails meander along the banks of the Chattahoochee at this ITP oasis. Park at the quieter Indian Trail entrance, and don’t miss the stunning cliffs marked on the map at EP8.
Take advantage of free parking (and zen) at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, then explore 30 paved miles alongside quarries, farms, and open land on bike or foot.
Silver Comet Trail
The Florence Road trailhead in downtown Powder Springs, 13 miles northwest of Atlanta, offers a secluded entry to this 61.5-mile paved path that runs from Cobb County to the Alabama state line.
