Atrium is not the only restaurant embracing the ethos of “more is more.” Recent years have brought a shift from the crisp minimalist aesthetic that dominated Instagram feeds over the past decade to one that’s colorful and expressive.

It starts on the Decatur Square, ends at Peachtree Boulevard; and is an overall enlightening cultural journey amid many international businesses and places frequented by the gourmet crowd.

For beleaguered restaurants, a total redesign that takes into account new COVID-19 constraints is out of the question, financially. But many Atlanta owners are cleverly reimagining their dining rooms to offer as pleasant and safe an experience as possible.

Atlanta is a melting pot of different cultures' cuisines—and that's a good thing. The problem is the restaurants where I most want to eat are getting farther and farther away. Also: Feedel Bistro—and Ethiopian food—is for everyone.

Be prepared to stand in line at Westview's Slutty Vegan (it's worth it), Feedel Bistro is the third Ethiopian restaurant to open at the intersection of Briarcliff and Clairmont roads, and get a taste of Greek classics (or American dishes with a Greek accent) at Santorini Taverna.
