The Healthy Woman was founded in 2016 and is growing rapidly in metro Atlanta at a rate its founder, Top Doc Jocelyn Slaughter (pictured bottom right), could’ve only dreamed of. Cutting the ribbon at the Snellville OB-GYN practice was an occasion that the then Grady-trained, board-certified OB-GYN remembers vividly; the fruition of the genesis to the ultimate dream. The practice has grown to three offices in OB-GYN and primary care.
Each office is beautifully designed and decorated to give patients that spa feel. Top Doc Barbara Joy Jones’ (pictured bottom left) Lawrenceville PCP office focuses on comprehensive primary care, weight loss, and prevention. She’s a board-certified family medicine physician with notable features on CNN and Headline News. She also has twin toddlers she chases around after hours. She loves caring for women in addition to caring for some loyal male patients who don’t mind the pink.
The second OB-GYN office is run by board-certified OB-GYN Dr. Oluwakemi Edokpayi (pictured top left) in Lawrenceville. Drs. Edokpayi, Slaughter, and Ayaba Worjoloh-Clemens (pictured top right) are all board-certified OB-GYNs in Gwinnett County. Dr. Jones rounds out the fabulous four by providing complete comprehensive care to patients.
The Healthy Woman is opening more franchises across the metro-Atlanta area in 2024. They’ll each be independently owned by physicians in search of financial freedom in business ownership. The Healthy Woman is committed to decreasing the health disparities which affect so many women. If you take care of the woman, you take care of the world.
