Emory is recognized internationally for its liberal arts colleges, graduate and professional schools, and one of the Southeast’s leading healthcare systems. Emory scholars and experts generate more than $500 million in research funding annually. Prospective freshmen can choose between two undergraduate liberal arts colleges during the application process: Emory College of Arts and Sciences in Atlanta’s historic Druid Hills suburb, or Oxford College, located forty-five minutes outside of Atlanta on Emory’s original campus. Oxford provides a small liberal arts–intensive environment for the first two years of students’ undergraduate experience, with all students continuing on as juniors to Emory College or the business or nursing schools.
