Dr. David T. Harvey has served as past president for both the Georgia and Florida Societies of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. He completed medical school training at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and finished his dermatology residency at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in procedural dermatology (Mohs surgery) at the University of Texas-Southwestern in Dallas.
Dr. Harvey has more than 25 years of experience in dermatologic and skin plastic surgery. His expertise lies in the field of cutaneous oncology, Mohs micrographic (skin cancer) surgery, laser surgery, and eyelid surgery. He serves as adjunct volunteer faculty at Emory and also lectures nationally on topics such as reconstructive skin surgery and cosmetic dermatology. He has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in the areas of skin cancer, surgical dermatology, and photoaging.
He maintains active staff privileges with Piedmont Healthcare and is seeing new patients at both his Newnan and LaGrange locations.
