Dr. David M. Benglis Jr. is a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in the treatment of spinal disorders through open, mini-open, and minimally invasive surgical approaches. Dr. Benglis joined Atlanta Brain and Spine Care in 2011 after completing residency and a spine fellowship at the University of Miami. He performs outpatient procedures at Perimeter Surgery Center and more complex spine work at Piedmont Hospital in Buckhead. He promotes nonsurgical options as first-line treatment strategies, including pain management and physical therapy. When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Dr. Benglis said, “I enjoy the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders and creating a bond with my patients. There is nothing more satisfying than healing someone’s pain or weakness.” Dr. Benglis enjoys traveling and learning new things about food and wine in his spare time.
