Dr. Elizabeth Whitaker – A Trusted Partner Through Aging at Every Stage

Elizabeth Whitaker, M.D., F.A.C.S., has achieved a feat not widely realized by professionals in her field – she’s earned a 20-year stretch of being named “Top Doctor” by her peers through Castle Connolly.

Dr. Elizabeth is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained Facial Plastic Surgeon who is also called the “Queen of Faces” by many of her patients. As the founder of Atlanta Face & Body, a premier practice in the Southeast for facial rejuvenation through both surgical and non-surgical techniques, Dr. Whitaker has performed more than 5,000 facelift procedures and counting for patients of varying ages, not to mention countless other minimally and noninvasive aesthetic treatments.

Her years of experience include developing and perfecting her own specialized techniques, including the Signature Lift series, which offers less invasive approaches compared to more traditional facelift surgery. These methods often result in less downtime and more natural-looking results, but the boosts in confidence are no less impactful.

Though her primary focus is always on providing quality, compassionate care for her patients, Dr. Elizabeth has also consequently been recognized for multiple years by several regional publications for her renowned skillset. These include “Best Facial Plastic Surgeon” by Modern Luxury, “Best Facelift” by Modern Luxury’s Best of Atlanta campaign, “Best Anti-Aging Doctor” by Jezebel Magazine, “Best Plastic Surgeon for Face” by Best Self, “Top Doctor” by Atlanta Magazine, and “Best Plastic Surgery Center for Facial Plastic Surgery” by Best Self.

“I strive to provide the best care possible for my patients in addition, of course, to creating the results that improve their quality of life and how they view themselves,” Dr. Elizabeth said.

That includes tackling the effects of aging at varying stages of life, from an advanced degree of volume loss and skin laxity all the way down to catering to a much younger demographic. In fact, an increasing amount of younger people are seeking ways to ward off the signs of aging before they even become a significant issue, which Dr. Elizabeth refers to as prejuvenation.

Due to advances in technology, there are also minimally invasive “gap” procedures, as Dr. Elizabeth refers to them, which have become quite the trend in the medical aesthetics industry in recent years. But whether it’s prejuvenation to stay ahead of aging or rejuvenation via a more substantial surgical procedure, or any number of “gap” procedures in between, Dr. Elizabeth says it’s all about aligning with the individual patient’s personal goals.

“My practice offers the entire toolbox, from nonsurgical to minimally invasive to surgical,” she says. “So, if you come and see me, you’re not going to get offered only a nonsurgical option or offered only a surgical treatment. We’re going to look through that toolbox, we’re going to talk about the options, and we’re going to find the combination of effective tools that will be the best fit for you to get the results that you want.”

What ultimately gets Dr. Elizabeth excited about coming to work every day is seeing the positive transformations for her patients in not only the physical realm but on an emotional level as well. That’s why she considers her profession much more of a calling rather than a choice.

“I wanted to help people in a very direct, personal way that utilized my talents,” Dr. Elizabeth explains. “I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I find facial plastic surgery to be the ultimate fusion of artistry and technical skill. It’s just so gratifying to use your training and experience to make such a positive difference in people’s lives.”
