The second Atlanta edition of "The Art of Banksy" puts more than 200 works, reproductions, and spectacles behind the walls of Pullman Yards. Five years after its initial Atlanta run, the question remains: what happens when a street artist’s work is removed from the street?

For a graffiti writer, the tunnel—a mishmash of graffiti art, tags, murals, and festival flyers—was the perfect canvas because the bridge provided cover and its concrete pillars framed the artwork. It served as a platform for young artists to prove themselves.

For the past four years, Peter Ferrari has made his living as a full-time artist, which is no mean feat when you consider that his canvas is often the side of a building—not exactly a transportable medium.

Is graffiti artistic expression? Vandalism? Criminal turf-staking? The lines between what’s acceptable and not have blurred.

"A community's personality can really be reflected in signs and typography," says graphic designer and SCAD Atlanta professor James Burns, whose Reynoldstown alphabet includes graffiti, church signs, storefronts, and a steel plant.
