Orchestral Sting, Harry Connick Jr sets head up 2010 Chastain concert series

One sure sign of Spring for us each year? Live Nation sends us the first chunk of its Chastain Park Amphitheatre concert line up.

Series A tickets go on sale Sunday at 10 a.m.

The most unique offerings announced so far?

Try former Police-man Sting with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra on June 28.
Note the the candelabra set: the concert is a “Non Table Set-Up/No Coolers or Carry-Ins” show, according to the Live Nation folks.

Also on the schedule: Crooner Harry Connick Jr, with an orchestra on   June 19.

One of the weirder selections this season?

Um, try 1970s disco kings KC & The Sunshine Band on a double bill with 1980s icon MC Hammer  on June 13.

ZZ Top with special guest Jonathan Tyler & Northern Lights May 8;
