Nearly 2,500 festivalgoers packed Cobb Energy Centre for the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival’s 20th anniversary Opening Night event, featuring the World Premiere of Shared Legacies: The African-American Jewish Civil Rights Alliance. The program featured a special musical performance by folk legend Peter Yarrow and the choirs of The Temple and Ebenezer Baptist Church, as well as an extraordinary post-film panel of Civil Rights era luminaries featuring Louis Gossett Jr., Martin Luther King III, and more. More details about this year’s festival, including the full film schedule, can be found at AJFF.org.
