WHAT’S NEW Mount Vernon has been designated as Dell/Alienware’s flagship Virtual Reality lab. MVPS refitted the Hive—a maker, engineering, and design hub for grades 7 to 12—through a grant from the Goizueta Foundation. The space now offers updated 3-D printers, vinyl cutters, and microelectronics, a Crawlbot CNC machine, a Glowforge, and more. Several new courses were introduced in the upper school, including improv comedy, sound and audio, studio recording, set design, graphic design, and hip-hop.
