For nearly 100 years, the sprawling Boca Raton, designed by famed architect Addison Mizner, has been a crown jewel of South Florida resorts. The Shepherd Hotel in Clemson, South Carolina, truly lives out its mission to make all feel welcome. Owner Rick Hayduck was inspired by his daughter, Jamison, who has Down syndrome, to open a boutique hotel that employs individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Shepherd partners with Clemson University to hire students working toward their hospitality degrees and even displays their artwork around the property, promoting inclusivity at every turn.
