Nan Thai Fine Dining

This high-end Thai looker is one of the most polarizing restaurants in Atlanta. One the one hand, there’s the exquisite surroundings—gold and red columns, Buddhist statuettes, even gorgeously bedecked restrooms in rich colors. But the kitchen mostly turns out slightly more nuanced versions of familiar Thai dishes served throughout the city. There’s a missed opportunity to illuminate the foodie public with funkier, under-represented dishes.

And the prices, for the portions and the unoriginality, feel exorbitant. Dishes cost the same at dinner and at lunch, which is why during the day the place is a haven for expense account powerbrokers.
