SWOOM Farmers Market

“SWOOM started because we wanted to create a culture of health,” says Debra Robinson, who helped start the market in 2008. Concerned with the prevalence of fast food restaurants and packaged food in her southwest Atlanta neighborhood, Robinson approached fellow members of the Adams Park Residence Association with the idea of a farmers market. Although it has moved around a bit since its launch, this year SWOOM (short for Southwest Outdoor Organic Market) finds a new home at Atwood Community Garden. Vendors include Patchwork City Farms and Odom Produce.
