Halloween is upon us! Whether you like to celebrate the bewitching season with all things spooky or like to keep it cute and playful, there’s no shortage of activities in Atlanta. From kid-friendly gatherings to adults-only parties, here are 12 events to save the date for. Just don’t forget your mask (and we don’t mean the costume kind).

Halloween Magic Show
Where: Aurora Theatre
When: October 30, 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Cost: $7 per person
Spend a fantastical morning with your kids at Aurora Theatre as Arthur Atsma beguiles them with magic tricks.

Boo at the Zoo
Where: Zoo Atlanta
When: October 23, 24, 30, and 31, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Cost: Included with zoo admission
Boo at the Zoo adds an extra layer of fun to an already great experience for families. The kids can visit their favorite animals, get a treat from stations throughout the zoo, and dance at the Monster Mash Disco, among other activities.

Murder Mystery Dinner
Where: The Iberian Pig Decatur
When: October 31, 6:00 p.m.
Cost: $100 per person
Who did it? That’s what you and your friends will try to figure out at this murder mystery dinner. The theme is “Death of a Gangster,” so dress the part and get to solving (while enjoying charcuterie, tapas, paella, and more).

Spooky Movie in the Garden
Where: Red’s Beer Garden
When: October 29, 7:00-10:00 p.m.
Cost: No admission fee
Red’s Beer Garden, located in Benteen Park, invites families to join them for a fun evening at the brewery. There will be pumpkin carvings, a spooky movie, and, of course, beer for those old enough to imbibe.

The Roof at Ponce City Market’s Annual 21+ Halloween Party

Cost: $40
The Roof at Ponce City Market will host a wicked party for adults only (21 and up). Dress to impress, there will be a costume contest.

Trick-or-Treating at The Roof at PCM

When: October 31, all day
Cost: $7 admission to the Roof
We wish we could have gone trick-or-treating with those sweeping skyline views. Treats included with Roof admission.

Frankenstein
Where: RoleCall Theatre
When: October 28 through November 20, 7:00 p.m.
Cost: Starting at $15 per ticket
This retelling of Frankenstein is told through the eyes of the three Fates. Directed by Victoria Nation, this version studies the roles that fate, nature, and nurture play in the creation of a monster.

Put a Spell On
Where: Hotel Colee
When: October 20, 7:00-10:00 p.m.
Cost: Free admission
Get in the Halloween spirit at Buckhead’s Hotel Colee with an outdoor screening of Hocus Pocus. Vintage and pre-styled Halloween costumes will be available for purchase as well as light bites and sips.

Halloween Cabaret
Where: Stage Door Theatre
When: October 29, 7:00 p.m.
Cost: Tickets start at $15
For one night only, join the performers of the Stage Door Theatre for an evening of spooky songs and scenes at the Halloween Cabaret.

Little Five Points Halloween Festival
When: October 16, 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; October 17, 12:00-6:00 p.m.
Cost: Free admission
Little Five Points is forgoing the parade this year and throwing a block party instead. The marquee event is the haunted market and bizarre bazaar, located in the L5P community center.

Capturing the Spirit of Oakland Halloween Tours
Where: Oakland Cemetery
When: October 14-31, various times
Cost: $40
The ghost tours at Oakland Cemetery are spooky, sure, but they’re also illuminating and full of historical tidbits. Costumes are encouraged.

Home for Halloween
Where: Village Theatre
When: October 16, 23, 31, 8:00 p.m.
Cost: $15
If you need to laugh your way through Halloween, Village Theatre has you covered with this sketch show that’s self-described as a “terrifying cornucopia of comedy.”
