Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition is at Atlanta’s Westside Cultural Arts Center through May 23. The internationally-acclaimed touring exhibition from SEE Attractions, Inc. features an immersive presentation of museum-quality, near life-size reproductions of the iconic master’s frescoes that adorn the Sistine Chapel in Rome. This exhibit features 34 reproductions such as “The Creation of Adam” and “The Last Judgement.”

Here are six reasons visit this must-see exhibition:

1. It’s easier than traveling to Rome.

With many trips and grand adventures canceled or postponed due to the pandemic, take advantage of this European experience close to home. Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition is on view at Westside Cultural Arts Center. Nestled in West Midtown, Westside Cultural Arts Center is a short distance from restaurants, shopping, and much more.

2. See Michelangelo’s work from a new perspective.

The exhibition is an innovative and unique interpretation of Michelangelo’s timeless masterpiece. The scenes from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel have been reproduced in their original sizes using state-of-the-art technology with special expertise and care. Michelangelo’s celebrated scenes, normally viewed from the ground to the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, are recreated at eye level in their original size, allowing visitors to observe all the intricate details of these masterpieces.

3. Avoid crowds with safe timed entry.

Avoid the crowds and enjoy the exhibition at your own pace. With about 25,000 people visiting the Sistine Chapel each day, guests can only view Michelangelo’s masterpiece for a brief period before being swept away by the crowd. At the exhibition, timed tickets offer guests the opportunity to safely avoid the crowds and take their time fully stepping into the world of Michelangelo.

4. Learn about mankind’s greatest artistic achievement through informative audio guides.

Say goodbye to spending more time staring at museum plaques than looking at the actual art. Audio guides in English and Spanish are available to rent or download on a smartphone to enhance each guest’s experience.

5. Enjoy a fascinating and safe family-friendly outing.

Over the past year, it has been difficult to plan family-friendly outings that allow for everyone to remain safe and healthy. This exhibit is the perfect way to introduce budding art enthusiasts to the works of a Renaissance master. Westside Cultural Arts Center follows all safety measures put in place by the City of Atlanta, including mask requirements, social distancing, and heavily sanitizing all major touchpoints and surfaces regularly. Children, students, and seniors receive discounted pricing.

6. The exhibition is only in Atlanta for a limited time.

Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition has been on tour and featured at world-renowned venues such as New York’s Oculus at the World Trade Center, Mall of America, Vienna Cathedral, and Shanghai’s World Financial Center. The exhibit is in Atlanta at Westside Cultural Arts Center until May 23.

Exhibit hours are Thursdays-Sundays from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (last entry at 5 p.m.). Tickets are available at www.chapelsistine.com.
